GM, Ford Bailout Push is Coming

Back to blog

ford is the superior company

unlike chrysler and GM ford has begun to improve and get up with the standard of other car companies and doesnt need the money to stay afloat...plain and simple ford > GM/Chrysler

re: Chevrolet vs Ford

Actually, the fact that Ford is the only company not begging/stealing tax payers money means they're now the only US car company I would do business with. No company is too big to fail. Even if people get hurt in the process. Learning hurts sometimes. Masking the mistakes with bailout money is just going to let them happen all over again.

bailouts for any company

I am a tax payer and I donot want any money of mine going to bailout any company. The Greed of the CEO,s of these companies is unreal. They are making 10,S if not 100,S of millions of Dollas a year this does not include all the exc. in these companies. And when the companies go under the workers lose everything while the big shots walk away with 100,S of millions of dollars. This is wrong. You want to bailout these companies?? you take the money from those guys not us the tax payers. Remember we put you in office help this country noy hurt it. I tell you now.! Whoever congressman or senitor that goes a long and votes yes on a bailout! Will not have job come election time. Tax money belongs to the TAX PAYERS NOT YOU.

time to revamp

Obviously the big three have to change drastically, put all execs on small base salaries with bonuses for efficiency and profits, no more Golden handshakes. Ford is on the right track other than Mulluly's rediculous salary. What the hell were they thinking as they climbed aboard thier private jets looking for a bailout, this alone shows you they are totally out of touch with the real world!

Dont like it but it will happen

We should not bail these three out... Let them go into bankruptcy and one or two come out stronger. I am sick of giving our money to failures. Everyone knows this will only be a temporary fix because these Companies never learn.

Check out Consumeraffairs.com Ford vehicles burning to the ground. But no problem Ford, people make mistakes. Here you go. Let us know when you need more money. Did the goverment bail you out or give you a loan when your home was getting foreclosed upon? Did the goverment bail you out or give you a loan when you post the sign. "GOING OUT OF BUSINESS SALE" Now or ever? What is the point. The redtape keeps stacking higher and higher. Every comment posted on every website states that no money should be allocated to Ford. That they should be treated as any other company. Yet,they still recieve it. Proven over and over, we don't have a voice. We are just here to pay our taxes. Bush gave me $300 to survive with my 25,000 income. HA! Congress just gave Ford 25,000,000,000. to people who make 250,000. Greener vehicles? So if I go around my home installing flourescent light bulbs will you save my home from forclosure?

BAIL OUT fORD? I DON'T THINK SO!

GET A JOB CHIEF FORD EXECUTIVES! MC'DONALDS IS HIRING! Consumeraffairs.com YES Consumeraffairs.com Remember me. I purchase your product with my measley $30,000 a year income and my truck and buisness tools burned to the ground after my cruise control recall was fixed. You left me with nothing. You ignored the damaged lives and homes you destroyed.

And now you call out for help. What comes around goes around.

I hope you all go back to physically working an eight hour shift flipping burgers and then decide if you want to purchase and finance your own product that burns.

Don't forget! You have to start with fries before you move up to flipping burgers.

Support it god damnit

Are you people serious? It isnt GM's fault, it is the deregulating a-holes that are causing the credit crunch which is in turn killing our automakers. We need to bail out GM and Ford so Toyota, Honda, and Hyundai dont do an asset purchase and essentially own our car companies. Also, GM NEEDS to lay off employees. They were trying to employ a lot of people so the country would benefit, however it has hurt them now that foreign companies are automating their stuff, so we need to follow to continue to be competitive.
