Fannie-Freddie Fiasco Helps Romney's Chances

One of the big knocks against the idea of Mitt Romney as John McCain's vice presidential nominee has been that a banker-businessman veep candidate presents the wrong image and vibe during a time when Wall Street seems to be in full meltdown mode because of its own failures. The "smartest guys in the room" look more like idiots right now.

But the more dour voters become, I think, the more focused they will be on how the candidates say they're going to turn around the economy. The person with the more persuasive plan wins, whatever his background. Plus, the problems at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac—entities created by the Fed—don't make the feds look like geniuses either. So Romney may have the perfect résumé for this election season, after all.

Romney is claerly the best choice

His experience in "real america" would be invaluable to McCain... Particularly with the focus on the Economy.... He not only has the pedigree to show that he can fix Businesses and Government Entities that have gone or are about to go upside down, he also highlights a huge weekness in the Obama campaign and that is Fiscal inexperience..."they don't have a clue how to fix the economy"...

Romney has the best experience and skill set for the Economy of anyone in either party that is on their respective tickets.... and America will see, unless they are in plain denial, the obvious reality of the situation...

Romney can also help the Republicans in a few states that help is trully needed..... i.e. Michigan, NH, Colorado, Nevada, and maybe in some places like Maine....

It will be interesting to see what McCain decides to do.... but my money is on the Former Governor of Massachusetts.

Efficient Business Management Experience!!!

If you have never managed, worked at, or studied an efficiently (profitably) managed business then it is hard to understand the tremendous VP that Mitt Romney will make! All of the problems that we Americans recognize about the Federal Government are problems faced by every business. Left un-corrected the Federal Government (any business) will become more and more sluggish, un-profitable, and eventually fail.

As voters we need to distinguish between candidates who claim to be able to change the Federal Government and those who KNOW how to make the change! Mitt Romney KNOWS how to make the changes in the Federal Government because that is exactly what he did at Bain Capital and the 2002 Winter Olympics!

Americans need to cut through all of the political "negativism" and vote into the White House (even if just as Vice President) an individual with REAL business/economic experience and not those who can only identify that changes need to be made and then not have the experience or courage to make the changes!

Mitt Romney IS the best choice for America!!!

Romney? Good idea.

Bring out good ole Mitt (to help Barack win.)

Voters need only THINK to know Romney is not their guy. People today who have made big bucks in business have done so by cutting American jobs and benefits, not by creating them. The notion that Romney is some fiscal magician who can or will help average Americans is a myth, myth, myth.
