Speaking of Citizenship, don't presidents have to be citizens too?

It is shocking that Obama is going to become president when he is not a U.S. Citizen. I thought that it is madatory in our Constitution that presidents must be a natural citizen of the U.S. His birth certificate is from Hawai. Suposedly some judge was going to sue him on Factsheet.com.

Democatic caucus

I wonder what Emanuel will have to say about Sen Joe Lieberman and his back stabbing during the campaign.

No Name Calling - Just Truth

They say if it looks and acts like a duck, it is... Most people cannot see Socialism because they don't want to.

All a charismatic leaders like Hitler or Mao Tse Tung and now Obama are is a canvas for which people project their own needs and wants on, like a wishing well of sorts.

He will dissapoint many, and it won't take long. Reason will tell us that he cannot be everything to everyone.

Those who will be MOST disappointed are the ones who wake up 3-6 months from now and realize that they still have to pay their mortgage and buy gasoline, and that the government is not our Salvation.

Put your money oversees and watch your wallet.

Right wing problems

How is it that Republican's lost this election? Can it be their political ,and in some cases emotional, immaturity? If you read some of these blogs and other right wing blogs (yes I read them to try and understand where my republican party went wrong). This is what happens when you run out of ideas and your forced to smear. I have limited ideas and no real reason for you to vote for me, BUT you should NOT vote for "That Guy". Why??? because he's a terrorist, he's a socialists and not stating the obvious, he's BLACK!!! Can anyone tell me (5) political ideas that McCain brought to the table? ANYONE? All I hear is this constant, dangerous, and relentless hatred. The middle picked up on that and it was land slide. Hell, they even won Indiana and most of the RED states were very close. We have to figure this out fellow republicans.

Try being creative instead of destructive and people will follow.

quit the socialism scare speech

Socialism? Really. People are getting all upset about Obama following socialism ideas. No other political appointee was more so than Gov.Palin, and she is who you wanted instead? For the love of God, give the man a chance before you jump all over him. Have we really resorted to name calling? Isn't that what we teach our children not to do? Anyone who is willing to step into these shoes after the mess we have found ourselves in deserves a little respect and a chance.

socialism is not creeping in it is flying in at warp speed.

so fast in fact millions of americans can not see it. or choose not to. Right under our noses.a presidentelect can not wait to disperse his socialist up bringing. he will pacify the ave. american with promises of more money, more assets and those poorer sectors wont even have to work for it. those are the people who voted him in. he has no god he won,t say the pledge of alliegence. i have seen no sign of his alliegence to america because he has none. his insertion of the socialist regeme may seem insidius, but in the blink of an eye,at warp speed, it will be here. we will cry "how did this happen!" how blind!"what price do we offer up America? freedom? our country was made of choiceand speech! watch carefully as our freedoms are snatched away!may God help us!

the new New Deal

The new New Deal sounds like a hoax, since it seems to rename or remind people what government already does for us. I fear mandatory high school completion is simply going to mean lower standards. There is evidence with NCLB states simply adopting different levels of 'proficienct' to have acceptable pass rates.

Regarding health care for kids we already have medicaid, SCHIP, and parents for the rest so they have insurance. Private charities also exist. As for old people I thought medicare covered them. We have a Department of Energy that spends as much money on research as the NIH, so giving their research mission a name seems trivial. Why does one need savings? For money when they are unable to work. Social Security provides money for disabled and elderly workers, so I guess Rahm is advocating a privatized portion, but that did not get far with Congress a few years ago.....

Proofread

I found this article informative and level-headed. However...Now that we have an unashamedly literate and intelligent Prez-to-be, I think it's a great time to impose more rigorous standards on ourselves for spelling, grammar, and general proofreading. Yes, in our blogs and e-mails too! I counted at least 2 mistakes in this very short article. Can we speak, write, and think more clearly and intelligently? Yes, we can!
