Why McCain Goes Easy on Fannie and the CRA

Fed up

I cannot express my outrage at the turn of events of the last few weeks. I guess Senator McCain does not want to win that badly or support a free market that badly to expose the corruption that has caused the financial meltdown in this country.

We are on the fast track to a socialist state and en route to a global government, thanks to corrupt officials and dirty politics.

God help the USA.

Campaign Attitude

McCain is and always has been a gentleman. This is a "new" campaign with "new" Democrats as Ms. Brazille has stated on more than one occasion. The Rules of Engagement have changed and John McCain MUST adapt. McCain should not turn a blind eye to Obama's vulgar campaign.

"My bottom line: The McCain campaign is underestimating how absolutely furious conservatives are that free markets, and by extension Reaganomics and the last 25 years of American economic policy, are getting the blame for the housing and credit crisis. A real morale killer, they tell me. Over and over. Every day."

As a true conservative, I was not a McCain supporter until he picked Palin. Her conservative credentials are awesome! Any enthusiastic support I had mustered for his candidacy died when he voted yes for the bailout, and his complete inability or unwillingness to address this issue has me beside myself!

Fanny& Freddy

The Right has lost its nerve. Race was mentioned by 1 person.

Obamma has 160 days experience (approx) (Senate in session)

enough time to vote every other day to raise our taxes.

Acorn convicted in 6 states who was their lawyer?

Dodd, Obamma,Clinton, Obamma how much money filtered in there? Our Money?

Did Acorn recieve any money from housing bail out 3-4 Months ago? Our money?

Is Pulosi's husbands business financially sound yet? Maybe some more money should go into fueling her jet.

Shakespear was right 400 years ago.

lifetime appointments are STUPID.

I must have missed the vote on Politicians pensions. Its STUPID but you think you'll find one to change it?

These lawyers that can get you out of income taxes owed to us

awww Shakespear again.

This is the dirtiest Left campaign I've ever seen but maybe I should call Hollywood to talk withthe people in LaLa land.

They are living in the real world.

In 2 years Fanny And Freddy lost 90% of its worth. Why is Frank

going to work today?

Sincerely, Disgusted

The McCain campaign does have a HUGE problem here!

The nature of the problem for me is this: Obama is getting away with murder, saying "Now is not the time to point fingers." And then he proceeds to savage Republicans mercilessly and endlessly about how they are to blame for Wall Street fat cat greed and corruption. And that argument works with all those Independents and barely-leaning voters.

The McCain campaign has no choice but to fight back, and they are NOT. They are not answering!!!!

That is deadly, deadly, deadly, deadly. A grievous mistake. A. It makes McCain look weak. B. It makes McCain and Republicans look like they agree that they are guilty of the charge. C. It lets the Democrats completely off the hook for both triggering the crisis and blocking all attempts at alleviating the causes of the crisis.

If Fannie Mae had been fixed in 2003/2004, we would not be in nearly the mess we're in now. We'd still be in a mess, but it would be a relatively small mess.

The Wall Street investment firms and the banks would still have been able to exploit the rules and over-leverage their available capital so that eventually the credit crunch would hit anyway. But the credit crunch would NOT have hit late this summer due specifically to the housing speculative bubble collapse, and who knows, it may never have hit with the force that it did. And there may never have been this kind of a crisis.

Therefore, the Democrats have a great deal of culpability here. They're not ashamed of it! They've ALL got their knives out and they are ALL savaging Republicans, and ALL the Republicans seem to just keep letting them get away with it.

McCain is letting them get away with murder, and for the reasons I listed above, it is fatal for him to continue to allow it.

Obama's Nuts: Big ACORNs

This is not enough! The quote you present here is exactly what he should say. People need to be able to connect the dots! ACORN and ACORN Housing need to be covered by the MSM and the only way to get them to do that is to mention them specifically during the public debate! Throw light on the dirty little secret the Dems don't want to expose.

Please, John McCain, stop being such a nice guy and GO FOR THE THROAT.
