Romney: McCain Won't Pick Me as Veep

Back to blog

ROMNEY

I was devastated when Romeny dropped out of the race. Out of all of the candidates, he was truly the only one that I believed what he was saying. Regardless of religion (we don't sit here and analyze everyone else's beliefs - why should we do that to him), Romney is honest. I can see it in him, and I truly believe he is the one that cares about people more than anyone else on the panel.

McCain would be crazy not to pick him. If this man can make millions for himself by turning bad companies into profitable ones, then I have the utmos confidence that he can do that for our country. I don't believe any of the other candidates stand a chancde against his "economic smarts". McCain has his strengths, but reaching to the part of America that views McCain and Obama as just polititicans trying to make a name for themselves, Romeny will bring balance and trust. Two things that we have been missing for a very long time in this country.

GO ROMNEY!!!

Capital Gains Tax needs to be abolished - Like in Switzerland

Switerland was founded 500 years before the US.

The have repeatedly assessed the Capital Gains Tax for

Induviduals and came repeatetly to the conclusion it is not

worth the paper implemantation and restricts severely

Capital Flow, Capital Flow is what the US needs now.

When will the US learn from more mature and older countries

about the Capitas Gains Tax.

Both Candidates are wrong and use economic and financial knowledge built on quicksand, otherwise they would not argue about 15 or 27 percent tax.

This large spread proves there is no fundamental know how

applied in the US about capital gains tax for individuals.

It will provide an economic stimulus for the US and bring

a lot of Capital Back from Tax Havens, including the lawmakers

own money if they still have any in tax havens.

Mitt Romney Is The Perfect Guy For Veep

McCain/Romney would be a dream ticket for the Republicans. McCain has all of the Washington Insider and military experience - not to mention that his father and grandfather were both 4 star admirals in the Navy.

America is the biggest broken corporation in the world. Guess what Romney did. He spent 25 years going all over the world successfully fixing broken corporations. Don't you think he could give the administration some great ideas and provide leadership fixing any number of broken economic situations that we have?

Let's pick the right guy for the job - Romney!

I think he should pick Romney, He's a smart man when it comes to the economy and that is where we need help.

Romney - Humbug

McCain knows that Romney will overshadow him as VP. Romney has the energy, looks and oratorial skill to get out the vote....except in the Baptist/Evangelical south. The prospect of some of those states voting even marginally for Barr, puts Barack in a position to pick up those states with 38-43% of the vote. Utah will vote for McCain either way. Question is whether Romney can deliver MI, NM, NV and CO, or if he is the cause for the loss of VA, GA, NC and SC.

Do the math....

To Greg

Greg, Greg, Greg, you're sounding like one of the Huckabee crowd. I'm a Mormon and I don't vote to "get a place at the table." I vote because it's my civic duty and I want a conservative court. Mormon's don't vote as a block, and one does not speak for all. Trust me, many people will vote for McCain whether Mitt is on the ticket or not, we just won't be quite as excited about doint it; and some will even vote for Obama (shudder!).

I do agree that McCain will get an energized force of volunteers with $$ to donate if he chooses Mitt as his VP.

Mitt Romney

This is the guy (Mit Romney) McCain needs to really look at for his VP.

The Democrats hve no one in their ranks including Obama that can touch Romney in any debate or any level of government.

Romney brings the Presidence to McCain. Romney is a go getter and a great fund raiser.

McCain needs all that Romney can bring to the party. McCain will jump in the polls once he announces Mit Romney as his VP. The american people need to see a glimmer of light for McCain. Romney can bring it.

With Romney, McCain has a real chance to break this daze the american people have for Obama. They are caught up in this hype, this rock star hype. Obama can't make any mistakes because those that see him as President are decived, blinded to who he is.

Romney will break this cloud that's over this crowd. He will be the one who says, "he has no clothes on"

McCain needs to do the right thing. Romney has more support then most people think and can bring the dollars into the camp to get McCain out to the American People

McCain need a young agressisve VP. I think Mit Romney is the man.

McCain needs Florida, and Mit Romney can give it to him.

The people love Mit here. Don't be fooled, Mr. Romney can bring the states needed for McCain.

Most important, Mr. Romney will make a great VP and can be a perfect righ hand for Mr. McCain.

Pick Romney win The Mountain West!!

Pick Romney, the guy is a perfect balance for the ticket, and he won Michigan,Nevada and Colorado in the republican primaries. Also Mormans will turn out for Romney just as Catholics turned out for Kennedy and Blacks are turning out for Obama. It is an issue of pride and proud mormans happen to form at least 5-10% of the population in Arizona,New Mexico,Nevada and Colorado.

Romney 2012

No matter what happens, I'm looking forward to Romney making real change in 2012.

Romney is extremely down to earth

Anne of Florida: Mitt was pro-choice in his run for the senate. I don't think he was ever pro-life before that. His stance on abortion when he ran for governor was that he would not change the existing laws of the state. He voted against expanding abortion laws on each and every abortion bill that crossed his desk.

But what I'd like to touch on is the "silver spoon" charge and that he is "disconnected." First, the money he has today was earned through his own work.

But he is an extremely down to earth person. To illustrate this, I received an email about Romney last summer when he was on the campaign trail in San Diego during the wild fires. He and his son decided to go out and help some homeowners who had been affected by the fires, so before a bunch of campaign stops in San Diego he strapped on his work gloves and WITHOUT THE MEDIA IN TOW, went and helped an older gentleman uproot a tree that had been ddestroyed in the fire. I received the story in an email from a friend that was out there and got a picture taken with him. The email is in my inbox right now. His hair is not perfectly coiffed, nor is he in a suit. In fact he is in jeans and is running a chainsaw.

Now tell me, how many other candidates would be doing this on the day of a bunch of campaign stops in a Presidential Election...especially without any media covering it. He just wanted to help out. If you want to see the pics send me your email and I'll forward them to you. Pretty remarkable. This story was never covered by the media and I believe it was the way he wanted it.

BTW: I live in the south, am mormon and there is a rather strong institutional bias here. I won't generalize, but it is definitely not uncommon to go to sunday school at a southern church and have the lesson be on "combatting the mormons." There is a church down the street from me that has an annual "save a mormon day." It's true, you can't make this stuff up.

Anyway, my intent is to show what a solid guy Romney is, and that he is not the narcissist that some people make him out to be. He is solid on and off camera.
