The Jason Furman Saga: Has Obama Fired His New Economic Adviser Yet?

More ignorance

It astonishes me how uninformed or disingenuous some commentators are.

Obie's economic leanings come straight out of the old Paul Tsoungas, "eat your spinach and grow up" form of neoliberalism. That is why his economic team is stocked with U of Chicago, type free-market oriented academics.

First the Radical Right tries to paint the guy as some sort of Marxist, and then when they are confronted with the facts, decide he's a flip flopper for rejecting positions that he never held..

Another flip-flop by Obama, or a person who truly do not understand the company he keeps? Stay tuned for another edition of "As Obama Flips Again".

I don't know why Obama would go to the Brookings Institution anyway. The Brookings Institution is a Center-Left Organization. He should've gotten his next economic adviser from People for the American Way or the EPI or something.
