Obama Vs. Carter Vs. Mondale

We Made a Huge Mistake??

Yes, Ronald Reagan was a huge mistake!

1) Hostages home

2) Inflation under control

3) Prime Rate below 10%

4) Double (that's right, double) revenue to Fed. Govt.

5) End of USSR by winning the cold war

6) Berlin Wall on the way down

7) Millions with real hope to make someting of themselves rather than beg for handouts from Sen. Ted Kennedy.

8) Dawn of the PC age

9) Founding of the Internet

10) Billions of people no longer under the threat of death due to Global Thermonuclear War

These are all things we should repent for. Pres. Carter would have spared us all from these sins. With Carter (and Obama) we can not be free to have our betters give us what we actually need instead of what we want. They will ensure that we free from the bondage of christian morality and worry of things beyond our control if we will just surrender our nieve desire for self determination.

Same problem, similar solutions

Perhaps the Democrats sound similar themes because they were all following years of irresponsible Republican fiscal policies that resulted in great gains for the very rich at the cost of great pain for the common people. Surely you've noticed the pattern of Republican administrations creating huge messes that need to be cleaned up?

Carter - Mondale - Obama

Back in the early '80s we had a choice, and we made the wrong one. Now the chickens are coming home to roost. Kudos to Obama for recognizing that ignoring energy supply concerns and increasing debt (consumer & government) have made us weaker. And our health care system is a big reason that the U.S. is not competitive 25 years after the Reagan Revolution.

Open your eyes Mr. Pethokoukis. The government is running huge deficits and taking hundreds of billions of dollars of bad debt off the hands of corporations such as Bear Stearns, Merrill Lynch, JP Morgan, etc. Disgraced CEOs walk away with hundreds of millions of dollars. Financial rewards in our system bear little relationship to job performance -- or perhaps an inverse relationship. The financial media is a joke -- just like the political media that went along with the war in Iraq.

If we had listened to Carter, we'd be in much better shape today. Voodoo economics has prevailed for too long. Let's learn from our mistakes and elect Obama!

Thanks for listening, and have a nice day...
