A Pale Ron Paul? Skimpy Agenda for Libertarian Bob Barr

Lol, journalism...

it is journalism- it's yellow journalism. And that's all we have today; when are you going to WAKE UP?

VRacer, same can be said for you, you need to realize that democrats and republicans are not the end all be all political parties just as 2000 was not the end all be all year.

Ron Paul never said that!!

Ron Paul never advocated US citizens to print their own currency. James, you're either incompetent or a liar. If you have any documentation that Ron Paul ever made such a statement, print the source!! This article is a sorry example of journalism!

FairTax

The FairTax is very FAIR and the only thing that can save this country.

Before you spout off like you know something better read the proposal because everyone here has it wrong and it is hilarious to see people talking about something they have no clue on.

James you know you are just an IVY League Punk

James did you have all your college tuition paid for by the elite when you were a student in one of their many brainwashing universities across this country. It sure sounds like it when you write. What is your answer oh wise one and why don't you get your facts straight before you go off in a rant. The Federal Reserve Act of 1913 is the single largest scam to ever be put on the American People and you know it but your puppet masters must be putting pressure on you because they know that soon their party will be over and you won't be able to drive that shinny BMW drinking your star bucks latte because there are still people in this country that have not been brainwashed to believe that this slave system led by this Federal Reserve PRIVATE BANK by the way for your information is a sham. Congress needs to start printing its own money again and abolish these shysters. If you call yourself a journalist let me give you some free advice check your sources before you go off ranting especially against a great man like Ron Paul who is a Doctor and unlike you doesn't have his head in his ass.

Conversion

I find the comments criticizing Barr's past voting record more and more tedious. We all know that he has committed sins against libertarian positions in his conservative past -- but he has spent several years coming around to the libertarian position and working hard in its trenches. Personally, I would like to see lots more people like Barr changing their minds. I welcome them. And if they have insight into how the political game is played, that's a good thing. Let's learn.

Skimpy Agenda

So maybe Barr knows what he is doing. As the article says, broad strokes is what the major players make. Too much substance doesn't win votes in the era of sound bytes.

re: fair tax questions

I don't like it but in answer to your questions...yes it does exclude all of those. Read the full proposal for yourself. I think its more Marxist than our current tax if that's at all posible.

Libertarian Fools

A democrat or republican will be elected. If Barr helps the democrats he hurts America. Libertarian wackos need to understand the real world of politics. If they contribute to a democrat win they look like fools and for what reason? To send a message. Give me a break..

A democrat or republican will be elected. If Barr helps the former instead of the later he is doing a disservice to America. Wake up to the real world Libertarian wakos. Your party will never live down the shame.
