Huckabee Veep Momentum Is Growing

Huckabee?

The question was posed by one of the people who posted a comment on this poll if Huckabee was paying his people to vote for him. You have a reason to be suspicious. I have a very probable answer to your question. There is a Huckabee website that his followers refer to. The supposed reason for the website, www.huckpac.com, is to promote and support the conservative candidates who are running. As it turns out, it largely exists to support and revere Mike Huckabee. The major way his followers are promoting him is they have "scouts" who scan the Internet airwaves searching for each and every poll that is listed asking for people to vote for their choice of VP. Once they discover these polls, the websites are then listed on the www.Huckpac.com website. His followers plug into this daily and see what the latest poll might be, and then they go in swarms to the particular poll or polls that are listed, so they can vote. Of course, there is nothing wrong or illegal about this, but it does stack the polls and paints an inaccurate and distorted picture of who the American people as a whole would like as John McCain's Vice President. This practice actually makes these polls meaningless.

Huckabee MUST be VP`

I think Mike Huckabee on the ticket is the only way McCain can attract the Social Conservatives back to the party. They feel abandoned and betrayed by the GOP!

I for one do not like McCain or Obama -- what a horrible choice for America!

But, if Huck's on the ticket, I'd actively campaign for McCain and donate $$$$ to help him get elected.

If he chooses Mitt Romney -- I'll definately not support the ticket. That would mean 2 liberal candidates would be running for the GOP top spot! I can't support that!

Huckabee is a champion

If Mccain is smart he will choose MH! The energy he brings to the platform as well as wisdom is unmatched by any other vp choice! Would win the general election hands down!!!

Huck Attack

Mike Huckabee gets my vote not only mine but many people I know including family members and friends will be energized to come out and campaign for a McCain/Huckabee ticket! I'm not Evangelical but I love the idea of Fairtax. Go Mike!!! We need a smart, consistent, great speaker and humble man to run with McCain. Romney? He'll never win the blue collar swing vote.

McCain/Huckabee 08

A McCain/Huckabee 08 Ticket would be a huge win in November!

REAL CHANGE REPUBLICANS with REAL ANSWERS in solving the Problems we face in this country!

➢ Proven, tested, unchanged stands/records on Tax Reform, Fiscal Responsibility, Social/Traditional Family Issues, National Security/Immigration (secure the Border first), and both have conservative Democrat and limited Government allies to reach across the aisle outside the GOP.

➢ Vetted, trusted, proven integrity and character, and would appoint conservative JUDGES who would not legislate from the bench, and undermine the people and the traditional values this country was founded upon. “I will never sacrifice principles for anybody’s politics.”—Gov. Huckabee No surprises or “skeletons” in these closets to bring the country and the office of the President of the United States disrespect.

➢ Respect/Like each other!

McCain: “Governor Huckabee got millions of votes from people across this country when he ran for President. He reached out to people. I am very grateful to have him with me as a role model.” (Little Rock, AR, 4-25-08)

Huckabee: “One of the reasons I am supporting McCain I I admire him for understanding how government works and not giving more power to the government, but to the people.”

McCain: “We will be careful stewards of your tax money, as Gov. Huckabee was when he was Governor of Arkansas.” (Little Rock, AR, 4-25-08)

Huckabee: “We ran the most civil campaigns in the entire Republican primary.”(Little Rock, AR, 4-25-08)

Why Gov. Mike Huckabee for VP?

• Strong, unwaivering record on social issues, fiscal responsibility, tax reform as Governor, huge evangelical, southern states support

• Still has 65% approval rating in AK, and got millions of votes from supporters during presidential primaries, including 65% African-American vote

• Since 1976, there have been five states who have voted for the General Election winner every time in all of the eight elections since then. The states are: Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, and Ohio. This year, in all of these states, Gov. Huckabee either won them or came in second to McCain.

• Reaches across party lines with his likeability and character

• Likability, personable, and earned the title, “The Great Communicator” says Ed Rollins, Campaign Mgr.

Huckabee-McCains only hope

If McCain wants to win he has no other option but to chose Mike Huckabee!

FairTaxNow of MO @ Jun 06, 2008 22:37:03 PM

Why Huckabee's support is growing

The American people know the real deal when they see it. That is why, on a shoe-string budget, no less, Mike Huckabee won so many primary votes and continues to maintain a strong and undeniable following today.

People ultimately vote for the presidency with their hearts. When I consider the big money politics of other candidates and questionable loyalties, there's no substituting genuine passion for politicking.

Mike Huckabee is an individual who reminds Americans who they are amidst an ever-changing and fickle landscape. But he does it with a message of hope and optimism that seeks not to offer vague and ill-conceived promises, but to unite people toward realizing tangible results!

I hope Mr. McCain does not overlook the fresh ideas, proven selflessness, vision, inspiration, and integrity that Mr. Huckabee would bring to his administration. Not only would Mr. Huckabee continue to rally and restore the Republican Party, but the confidence of all American people in itself.

I like Mike

I'm an elderly woman, a Democrat for Barack Obama. But I'm hoping for good candidates for both parties, hoping that if the Republican Party wins, the result will still work out well for the country.

McCain is a strong Republican candidate and I'm hoping for another strong one to get the Vice-Presidential nomination: Mike Huckabee. The primary reason I'm hoping for him is his personal character--the same reason I respect John McCain. Huckabee is a man of high integrity. He might not appeal to Rush Limbaugh, but would attract more than enough crossover voters to make up for that.

Whether you agree with his specific policy positions or not (often I don't!) Mike Huckabee's character exemplifies honesty, civility, and decency in politics. While his intelligence and extensive practical experience would help John McCain in running the country, if something should happen that the Vice-President had to assume the Presidency, Huckabee would be qualified in every way to do the job and the country would have no trouble uniting behind him. Some of his proposals wouldn't pass... but he would be able to _lead_ and enjoy the trust of politicans on both sides of the aisle.

The choice of Mike Huckabee would say good things about John McCain: wisdom, intelligence, common sense, and, above all, that he has the interests of the country in mind. Once Mike Huckabee got the nomination and the general public got to know him, the common sense of the selection would be obvious.

He's ready from day one to assume the office of President. He'd be a great campaigner; he'd be hard to beat in debate, and would come across well in every exposure--in interviews and at rallies of all sorts and sizes. He's an intelligent, thinking kind of person and also has an extraordinary common-touch communication ability: he can summarize big ideas into their essence using simple language, often with a story. You don't have to be particularly brainy to understand the information he's trying to convey. It's also a big plus that he has a wonderful sense of humor. He'll laugh as people think up a bunch of "Huck-a___" jokes if he ends up as Vice-President. (I'm hoping Huckaveep will play his guitar a bit at campaign rallies!)

The media's tag of "Far-Right Evangelical" is false. That kind of tag-thinking remembers only those "Christian" leaders who have done or said outrageous things, things that really had nothing to do with Christianity but a lot to do with way-out Far Right. Mike Huckabee is nothing like that. He doesn't spew bigotry or hate, and he isn't narrow-minded. He's a secure person who doesn't need to attack someone else's beliefs to feel comfortable with himself. It's not a bad thing that he's a _real_ Christian.

Mike as VP

The only way McCain can gain any kind of credability with me is if he is smart enough to pick Mike Huckabee, the obvious choice for VP.

Tricia of WA @ May 28, 2008 12:18:02 PM

McCain/Huckabee best team!!!

McCain and Huckabee have the same ideology in their goals for the future of this country. They have always liked, respected each other and worked well together. McCain needs a vp he feels comfortable with and that is Huckabee. Huck also has more executive experience than ANY other potential vp. Huck was voted one of 5 best Govs. In the US by Time Magazine and quoted as "halving the welfare in the state and growing the state's economy above natn'l avg." as two of the reasons. Huck has the conservatives and evangelicals and has courted the blue collar/middle clasee from day one because he "gets it" that the old speak Republican Party is in trouble, but he brings an outsider's populist touch to the table. We badle need someone outside Washington. To top it off , people just like him. I hear so much about Romney's economic expertise, maybe that is suited to a cabinet position, but the last time I checked, the vp had nothing to do with fixing the economy!!! Also, please investigate the health care plan Romney put in place in Mass. It is a disaster!!!! Maybe his reputation as a big businessman are over exaggerated???
