Source: Huckabee Tops McCain's Veep List

Huckabee is a winner

Consider this: a year ago all of the major news magazines reported detailed poll data that showed Huckabee to be the leading Republican candidate most likely to win the nomination. All politicians have their flaws, but the fact is that unless Obama chooses Hilary Clinton as his running mate he won't have a chance to beat a McCain/Huckabee ticket. Like them or not (and many of us do NOT) McCain/Huckabee would pull in three quarters of the liberal conservatives, nearly all of the ultra conservatives, nearly all evangelicals, many of the "working man", not to mention pull away some black votes from Obama in the South. My prediction is this: if McCain chooses Huckabee, and Obama chooses a person with little recognition requiring the American public to 'get to know him' then McCain wins the White House 52.5% / 47.5%. If Obama chooses Clinton then it will be a nail-biter election with a slight favor in hand for Obama. Any other combination sees Obama losing.

Huckabee is the ONLY one who can excite us!!!!

If McCain were to invent the perfect running mate, he would have him in Mike Huckabee. They complete each other's package, both have the same strong prinicpled nature, character and integrity and both have proven they can work across party lines to get things accomplished. Huckabee is rich in executive exp., McCain ditto in foreigh policy. They actually like and respect one anothr. There is NOTHING negative about this ticket. Huckabee proved his prowess as a campaigner, debater and public speaker. In that field, he is the best we've got!!! I attanded the NC convention and his speech was one that was so inspiring and motivating and that crowd was wild for him!! McCain/Huckabee'08...Priceless!!!

Huckabee to excite the grassroots! Only Huckabee!

If you attended one of the conventions where Huckabee was the speaker, you will not need me to explain what it is that he adds to McCain's ticket. It's that something that you can't explain, duplicate, manufacture or fabricate. It's charisma, the ability to connect with people on a deep level to excite, motivate, inspire and move people. It's what has been missing from the Republican party since Huckabee left the race and we need it back so desparately in order to get folks to the polls. People are resigned to be behind Senator McCain but it is going to take lots of dedicated, motivated volunteers getting new voters registered, old voters to the polls, etc. in order to beat the democrats. Huckabee made us believe in him. I made 1,000 calls into Texas (from my state of SC) that last couple of weeks before his final state primary. The press was all saying he is out of the race, can't possibly win, yet I made those calls because Huckabee made me BELIEVE I could make a differnce and BELIEVE he could overcome all odds to win. We need a team who can make us BELIEVE we can win or who will bother to go to the polls.

Go Huckabee!

Mike Huckabee is a man of principle, a man of character and...oh, and he's a really great communicator. :o) McCain should be astute enough to realize that his ticket will be totally unbalanced without Mike Huckabee.

Yes, John McCain is also a man of principle, character and resolve. However, has anyone heard any of his speeches lately? YIKES! My goodness! If Sen. McCain cannot find a way to communicate his message in an effective way that connects to millions of people across America, this country will elect Obama, a man with no real experience to speak of and a man who is so radical that he is even to the left of groups like NARAL. Why would Americans do such a foolish thing? Because style sometimes trumps substance in the era of the 30-second sound byte.

One more thing: If McCain chooses Mitt Romney, I will simply not vote. And I'm pretty sure that I will not be alone in my disgust.

America Needs Huckabee!!

Reasons Huckabee should be VP:

1 Over 10 years of executive experience (McCain has no executive experience)

2 Only conservative who can excite and mobilize voters as much as Obama can

3 top choice for social conservatives

4 excellent debater

5 appeals to common man (no one would call him an 'elitist')

6 wonderful communicator

7 Huckabee stands for issues he believes in (He doesn't flip-flop nearly as much as Obama or McCain who seem to support whatever is popular at the time)

8 an army of supporters at hucksarmy.com and huckpac.com

9 supports new, smart tax plan called the FairTax (abolish IRS)

10 realizes we must focus on preventing disease instead of treating it once it reaches a catastrophic level

11 ability to run a campaign on a small budget (he was one of final Republicans in race for nomination even though other candidates spent much more $$$$. If he can use campaign funds responsibly, he would definitely be able to help with the federal budget)

12 THE FINAL IMPORTANT REASON IS HUCKABEE REALIZES WE NEED TO FOCUS ON VERTICAL POLITICS INSTEAD OF LEFT, RIGHT, LIBERAL, AND CONSERVATIVE IF WE ARE GOING TO ACCOMPLISH WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE AND LEAVE A BETTER AMERICA FOR OUR CHILDREN AND THEIR CHILDREN.

MCCAIN / HUCKABEE '08

WE LIKE MIKE!

WE LIKE MIKE!

WE LIKE MIKE!

WE LIKE MIKE!

WE LIKE MIKE!

Mike Huckabee For Vice President

I think it would be a disaster if Senator McCain did not pick Huckabee to run with him. He is the only one that could help McCain win. They will get my vote if Huckabee runs with McCain.

The faith of the candidates

I am intrigued by the comments of many writers concerning Mike Huckabee's belief in creation. They write as if this were some novel idea. Do not Barak Obama and Hillary Clinton claim to be Christians? Has anyone asked them what they believe concerning the beginning of the universe?

If they were asked and they affirmed that they are indeed Christians, then we could assume that such affirmations mean that they also believe that God created the universe. One cannot be a Christian and deny God as the Creator.

You may ask, "How can you make such an assertion? " My answer is simply that the source for the beliefs of the Christian religion is the Bible, and though one might debate many conclusions arrived at from a personal reading of the Bible, the question of the origin of the universe would not be part of such disputes.

Here's what the New Testament says with regard to faith: "By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible." (Hebrews 11:3)

So true Christian faith assumes that God is the Creator of the universe.

I have no problem if Barak Obama , Hillary Clinton, or anyone else for that matter, reject the premise that God created the heavens and the earth. But let them be honest and courageous enough to take off the "Christian" label. One cannot be a Chistian and deny there is one God, and that that God is the Creator of all things.

We should admire Mr. Huckabee for his willingness to affirm something which, though unpopular, gives a clear picture of who he is.

We should expect such clarity from all the candidates.

Huckabee's the Man

A man on honor and deeply respected. McCain will be making a big mistake not choosing Mike Huckabee. When he makes the announcement, I'll work hard for McCain/Huckabee.

Voting is a duty as much as a right ...

of every citizen. Casting your vote is not about you, the caster, rather about choosing among the candidates who best represent your view. Don't sit out because you don't like any of the candidates. Don't give away your vote to the other party because you don't like candidates of your party. Ask for wisdom to choose despite the possibly seemingly bad choices.

"The only thing necessary for the triumph [of evil] is for good men to do nothing."

-Edmund Burke [English Philosopher].
