No More

Need not to say, we all know what debt can do for our future. We are now at that future and it was set for us decades ago. It is here now. Wake up America, we can not spend our way thru problems with money we don't have. Bush did that with the war. Now Obama doing it on everything else. It sucks!!!

Socialism?

America is FAR from being a socialist country.

Socialism doesn't allow for the amount of power that large corporations have both financially and politically.

The traditional socialism relies on a labour force for it's economy, which is lacking in many of America's financial sectors as more cheap labour is acquired from overseas.

The most important thing, however, is that the state would need to regulate most financial matters, which hasn't happened and deregulation of the banks and insurance companies' finances are one of the prime reasons we are in a recession.

At the end of the day, if you go into two different shops one day and find two loaves of bread that are exactly the same, but the shops have priced them differently, you are NOT in a socialist country (given a strict definition). One of the loaves is more expensive and a CORPORATION is benefitting from that, not the state.

Quit believing fairy tales

Ian Tull is correct, it is time for Americans to stop believing anything that comes from politicians whether they label themselves repubilcans or democrats or whatever. They care nothing for the average American. They only care about keepinf themselves in power. It is time for we the people to band together to fight our biggest enemy; the political process as it stands in Washington, D.C.

We need to stop letting them carve us up into demographic sections and it is time we all stood together to put them in check. I don't care what color you are, what your sexual orientation may be, who you have slept with, that is none of my business. What is my business as an American citizen is the fact that politicians all say the pretty words they think we want to hear at the moment and then laugh at us when they have won office, more pork spending, etc, etc,.

How long are we going to let them do it to us?

Happy Birthday Grandkids: Free Debt for ALL

I agree with 'Think of the Future,' I may only be a teen right now, but my generation, my kids, and possibly their kids or more is stuck in a financial situation which they can't control. Assuming the next President (hopefully not a re-election) will try to tax everything to the point that its a socialist country (which it nearly is now), all of us younger people are screwed. Furthermore, we have to remember that this is a yearly budget....of $3.5 trillion. The problem with this is that eventually the government will run out of other people's money, will try to fix this by printing more (which it already has started), and we'll end up like Germany in 1923, except US$1 will equal $4.2 trillion Euros.

Think Of The Future

With millions of dollars being spent by President Obama, I can't help but wonder what the effect will be on future generations. After all, this debt we are sinking deeper into must be payed off by somebody, right? So basically aren't we causing more troubles for teens by pushing our problems aside to them? How do you expect them to pay all this money?

Enough Already...

Maybe the Dem bashers have already forgotten that the republicans over the past 8 years have driven our nation into the largest debt it has ever known. Bush II alone increased spending by over 50%. FIFTY. That's the highest increase since LBJ.

It's clear that partisan lines make no sense to argue anymore because fiscal conservatism isn't a term found in the playbook for Democrats or Republicans of late. If only some of use would stop pointing fingers at waft generalizations (what's the point in that?).

Not a Surprise

Obama is a democrat and it comes to no surprise to me that he is already spending uncontrollably, given that spending is the nature of any democratic politician.

Fiscal Cluelessness

Obama is going to bankrupt our nation at this rate. He is just proving that he has no clue how to run a nation, and the idiots he put in the Treasury, know less than he does. Our only hope is that he will be impeached next year. I thought he was too smart to try all of his socialist policies in the first year, but I was wrong...He is too stupid not to.
