Obama the Pragmatist

Obama Clinton

I agree that Hillary is the idealist and that she secretly wants to be king so that her ideas would become law. Therefore cancel her out! Every good idea during the 90's was Republican. Bill was dragged kicking and screaming into welfare reform and was neutral on Nafta. Bill had two ideas, take over healthcare and raise taxes on the middle class after he said he wouldn't. Gee, how did those work out.

Obama is also hoping for what we would all like - a level playing field while helping those at the lower levels. He is listening to Austan Goolsby who I think is pretty bright on the numbers but short on common sense regarding people. Goolsby wrote a nice article about Milton Friedman yet has missed the main point that made the man great . Economics is about predicting what people will do to maximize their wealth, both mentally and monetarily. I guess I don't think very highly of the University of Chicago after their "New Math" system and now Goolsby. These are bright people who need to get out of the Ivory Tower and talk to ordinary people to see if ideas work on Main Street.

Why Obama should be the nominee

Most of Hillary's supporters are older women, poor, uneducated, or hispanic - or a comination thereof. Barrack's support comes from young, educated, male and African American - or a comination therof.

These demographics provide an interesting framework when thinking about what they would do in office. In my opinion it means that despite the conventional wisdom, Barack would actually be far more pragmatic. Hillary's constituency is so much more liberal it will be far more difiicult for her to appeal to independents and defeat McCain. I think Obama would crush McCain in a landslide and Hillary would lose.

Stay home if you are a registered Republican, you have no new voice, just the same stay in Iraq Maybe 100 years? More debt for the middle class and those in proverty, but a tax cut for the 1% of the most wealthy

If Hillary has any of the backbone that her husband did for 8 years, ouyr economy will start to imrove. Remember he left a budget that was in tack, for Social Security and Medicare and the rest of our economy. Bush, a conservative? Nothing like Regan or neither is McCain he wants to do what Bush is already doing, sell the USA to China. Bush has the Country in horrible debt, and McCain agrees with his polivcies

. Do they think the Ameican Public will fall for that again? If he was such a good Christian, why has he, with the first 4 years ( a republican Congress) done anything to stop Abortions and Gays? He took most of our Army that was looking for Osama and took us to invade Iraq, that was opposed to OSama. More of the same? Then vote McCain or join us to elect someone that will help keep what is ours. Vote for the first female, less than 100 years ago Women coould not even vote, Now we NEED to be Heard. Vote for Hillary.
