Obama"s capital tax plan

What is Mr. Obana's positon on the capital gains rate for gains from a principal residence? The gains in my home are my largest possible souce of savings, and if the gains over $500k were taxed at a high rate, my standard of living in my senior years would be adversely afffected. Please let me know if Mr. Obama differenciates between capital gains on financial investments and capital gains on a principal residence/home. If he does not, his tax increases will drastically affect the real estate market, especially for those who reside in one home for many years (raise a family kind of years).
