Hot Google Trend: Smart About Money

By Kimberly Palmer

Posted: January 2, 2009

Nestled between The Office star Jenna Fischer and comedian Kathy Griffin on today's Google Trends list lies a decidedly less glamorous item: The website SmartAboutMoney.org.

Run by the National Endowment for Financial Education, the website helps visitors plan their household budget, examine their debt, and shop smarter. It also offers a quiz to help users assess their financial situation.

So, what does it mean that such a useful website is catching people's attention this morning? Perhaps we're all just getting started on our New Year's resolutions.

We're on the way to being smarter about money

We have elected the correct and best President and Congress from the choices we had in 2008. They are the more liberal of the possibilities we were given.

So what does liberal mean? Liberal means we start tending to give individuals a bigger voice and advantage than corporations in what the "economy" is and does.

Time to attack predatory lending, predatory health care, predatory Wall Street "trading" culture, predatory MIC/foreign relations, and predatory tax cuts of the last administration.
