Bad Bidders and feedback

I recently sold a product on Ebay on the Auction section.the price started at $50.00 and the shipping was to be calculated by the Buyer.Unfortunatly, I had a dumb buyer that calculated bid and bought to ship overseas.The price was to much for the buyer so instead of buying he blamed me for the final invoice price being to much.He not only will not pay but sent several E-mails to me with the F words and also used in my feedback(Yes Ebay sucurity OK`d it Also can use Scam)5 years of 100% rating selling/buying ruined. Ebay resalutions for Problems only FIT there own agenda.The only recourse the I have is:Ban this person from biding on my site,Email rejections,respond in 14 max word space,and continue selling with a BLACK EYE(ebay response)Who wants to buy from someone that was given a sexual suburitives and is called a SCAMMER???Ebay is a disapointment!

eBay's New Feedback Policy

The idea that buyers can leave any kind of feedback they want, but sellers can leave only positive feedback, is totally absurd. As an occasional seller (with 100% feedback), I responded to the changes initiated by eBay's new management by closing my account.

Sellers Unable to Leave Negative Feedback: If eBay wants to eliminate the smaller sellers from their auctions they are making a good start. As a seller I must find items to sell, purchase them, research them, write up my auction listing, decide on a fair price, figure fair/actual shipping costs, then list the item. I pay all eBay charges (listing and final value fees), I pay all PayPal/Credit Card charges. I must package carefully then make a trip to the post office to ship the item. Then if the buyer decides not to pay for the item I cannot leave him negative feedback. I do all of the work and pay all of the charges but I cannot leave negative feedback?! I am an honest, hard-working seller. I have buyers fib to me and delay paying with all kinds of excuses. I have to continue to monitor sold items that should have been closed for weeks. I must send reminders, second invoices, etc. This all takes time and work. I take good care of my buyers: keeping them informed, packing carefully and in a timely manner and giving them helpful feedback. Do you have any idea how many unscrupulous buyers will take advantage of this new rule? Heaven help us.I always ask my buyers to leave feedback first. This isn't because I am threatening to leave negative if they leave negative, but because I believe that the feedback should reflect the buyers performance throughout the whole transaction (including returns & refunds etc), not just paying.

I've had buyers who have been perfectly courteous and paid promptly who then became totally unreasonable when it turned out they hadn't read the listing or whatever.

If I had given them feedback first then I would have had no recourse and no opportunity to complain about their behaviour during the returns stage of a transaction.

As a buyer I am happy to leave feedback first. It indicates to the seller that I am happy with their service and above all have received and am happy with my item. As far as I am concerned the transaction is then over and they are free to leave feedback.

Forcing it to be the other way around leaves sellers open to unscrupulous buyers, which is my main problem with the changes that ebay have introduced.

The assumption on Ebay's part is that any buyer who pays is a good buyer. That is erroneous. What about the buyer who pays very, very slowly? What about the buyer who wins the auction but then decides the shipping is too expensive and demands a discount, or free shipping?

What about the buyer who receives their item and decides that they don't like it even though it was described perfectly accurately and there were 10 pictures in the auction? What about the buyer who makes unreasonable demands while holding your feedback hostage? What about the small precentage of buyers who attempt to pull a bait and switch on returns?

Just paying for an item does not make a buyer a good buyer. Not allowing sellers to leave honest feedback for a buyer means that there are no "bad" buyers on Ebay??. Other sellers can't be forewarned if a buyer is a scammer, or makes unreasonable demands, or sends a money order that bounces. The feedback system is in place to so buyers and sellers can mutually rate one another. Making the system one sided punishes sellers and allows the dishonest buyers free reign.

New Feedback Changes damages

To my astonishment I saw my feedback dropped from 100% to 98.5% without anyone leaving new feedback.

In the past, neutrals did not count. Now they do. EBay did not show any sensitivity to the issue. They could have as an example, extended the "mutual feedback removal process" prior to changes to give a chance to those that for various reasons did not do anything to have them removed since they did not count.

EBay's arrogance and lack of touch, is beyond comprehension. I sent a couple of emails on this issue, and although in the very 1st line I requested for the eBay support to not send me any pre-written general email, nobody listed and I received a "general" reply NOT touching ANY of my concerns and requests.

I have doubts even if the use humans for customer service issues.

EBAY'S WALLET MIGHT BE FULL, BUT IF THE DORKS ON THE TOP KNOW HISTORY, THEY'D SEE THAT THEY WON'T LAST LONG WITHOUT USING "COMMON SENSE" IN THEIR DECISIONS.

EBAY HAS HURT MY REPUTATION.

Ebay Complaints

My experience with Ebay and its sense of decency in dealing with problems associated in the online auction process is fairly evident. They just dont give a damm about vendors misrepresenting items or placing counterfeit items for bid since its the vendors who pay the fee and thats how Ebay makes its source of revenue. Maybe if buyers who think they are always going to find a bargain take some time off and boycott the site for the next 6 months the folks in San Jose and Paypal will start listening to the ever whelming level of legitimate complaints, clean shop and level the playing field.

If anyone is genuinely interested in pursuing this. Please let me know

ebay problems

The big problem with Ebay is no one in management has actually sold an item on Ebay so they don't realize what the process is except from a theoretical standpoint.this is somewhat like managing a war from south Florida.
