Why the Mumbai Terrorists Used Credit Cards

Terrorist Credit Cards

Nigerian Scams are also one way of financing terorist operations. Large sums of money are bing paid into accounts with or without the account holders knowledge and withdrawn again with or without the connivance of the account holder. This money is then used for nefarious activities. I would appreciate it very much if anybody could tthrow more light on the same.

terrorists' credit cards

If, in fact, the cards found in the backpack had been taken from victims, what was the plan? Since the terrorists' aim was a "glorious death", what good would plastic do them in Heaven (or, better, Hell)?

Cards belonged to the victims

Mumbai's police commissioner has clarified that the credit cards mentioned earlier belonged to the victims and not the terrorists. Please see http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/Mumbai/2611_was_a_suicide_attack_Police_chief/articleshow/3787008.cms
