Another way to earn by blogging ...

Blogging is a great way to:

a) Establish yourself as an 'expert' in a field, and

b) Create content for other online products (e.g. eBooks; eCourses; eMembership Sites)

(a) may not make you much money, but (b) might ...

Keep it Fun

I truly believe if you keep it fun you will succeed. I started a blog recently about girls fastpitch softball in GA and it has blossomed into so much more. Sometimes I feel I may have bitten off more than I can chew with additional information being added, but it is definitely an exciting task I like working on each time. The possibilities seem endless and the journey of establishing yourself is pretty exciting!

Sunny Delight

Its everything your grandmother always told you before waking you up by switching on the lightbrite on Saturday morning cartoon marathon start time at the age of 7. What you would hear loudly was "Early to bed Early to rise makes your ass healthy wealthy and wise" Now get Up!... If you GREW UP then you would understand the achievement typed vivid in this blog and the secret alarm too; that this article/blog triggers loudly to losers, like viper alarms for winners to avoid looking in your direction. Wak€ up man don't try to read and comment on sunny delight terms while your still snoozing losing the light. You can not wake up out of bed at 10pm, turn on your cpu to see the title on something you can't follow through on with just trying and comment in such away. Late-N-Tha-House Dreama dude for real.... go back to snoozin man!

Thanks, for a great article on blogging. I am a beginner and need the tips. Thanks, again. By the way, those of you who are using your blogs to help others, will always have income:)

Good article

These are some interesting sites except for Steve Pavlina's. He basically regurgitates what any number of "guru's", psychologists, or hypnotist talk about. Nothing new there.

Interesting that he has such high traffic volume.

Steve Pavlina

In defence of Steve Pavlina, I only came across his stuff in the last few weeks and he does do "exactly what it says on the tin". Content rich as opposed to re-hashes of old articles and mindnumbing lists.

Becoming a problogger

Becoming a problogger is getting harder as the competition continues to grow. The leaders have several advantages. Soon, it will be next to impossible.

I wrote an article a few months ago about how to do it in two steps; Crossing The (Internet) Chasm

http://www.thefinanceblognetwork.com/pp/public/Articles.aspx?aid=3

The idea is to first establish a blog, than

- Provide the blogosphere with new unique innovative solutions

- Find new ways to expand and market yourself

- Leverage your blog to market new consulting services and expand your income streams

- Create partnerships to lead to new solutions

Great artcile. I recently wrote one on the Characteristics required for successful blogging ( http://www.savingtoinvest.com/2008/08/characteristics-required-for-succesful.html ) based on my experience and from what I have seen from other pf bloggers. Hard work, ongoing effort and a focus on quality for key characteristics that are needed to succeed. Also, success is a snowball effect, in that once you start growing, it feeds on itself and you continue to grow. I was blogging for about 3 months before I got an reasonable income, then all of a sudden this month I am up to $300! By no means enough to live on, but a great boost.

Nice post!

I'm a relatively new blogger. I've been at it since May of this year. I spend time on my blog, but I treat it as a tool to keep me accountable for my goals therefore I probably don't spend as much time as other folks. I concentrate on our own personal finance needs as well as our real estate investing business.

As far as what bloggers make, my google adsense now says I'm not making 0. I pulled in a whopping $.28 yesterday.

Nice article!
