Locking in Lower Gas Prices

PrePaid Gas

Sounds like I have heard of this before. How does someone take aventage of this ? Just like anything else when you invest, if the price os gas goes down, of which I do not really see happening, you lose money. But. if it is legit, then go for it. Keep us posted on if this turns out to be true and what we can do to get in on it.

remember enron

these people are not speculating on oil they are buying gas futures based on the money that is received each month and the prices they pay have nothing at all to do with the price they pay. if you are paying say 4.00 per gallon the price stays at that price and you will get gas at stations that may be charging 4.25 per gallon . all that they do is pay the oil company their lprice of 4.25 and sell some gas futures that they have locked in at somewhere in the area of 3.75 . they really cant loose unless the price of gas futures go down which is not very probable for at least 2 years . since speculators willcontinue to drive up pricing. however when the buble does bust as they always do there will be another enron and guess who will loose. you got it the little guy who has a card that is now worth a bucket of spit . this will work but for you to make any headway with factoring in the cost of membership you would habe to buy in at a minimum of 4000 gallons @4.00 or a total outlay of 16,000.00 on the first purchase most working stiffs dont have that kind of money to prelpay for a year just to break even on the pricing change. also the pricce as i understand is based on an average price per gallon of an entire region not on your home town pricing which could be lower or higher depending on averaging the pricing over a pleriod of time. my suggestion is think twice and act once and be ever mindful that there is a sucker born every minute. dont be one .

$3.99????

Jeez I would drive 10 miles out of my way for $3.99 gas. I Just paid $4.74 yesterday on the way home from work.Yes I realize its the 4th holiday so the spike from the holiday is mixed in with that price but still. Be thankful you have $3.99 gas and not $4.74 with a 10.75% sales tax on your other purchases. All Hail COOK COUNTY!

As for this story line I would love to see somebody make this work because I would be willing to dish out a couple of hundred in advance if I could save over the long run.

It should illegal!

The above scheme,( locking in a present gas price to save on future increases] will not be effective to people who fill their tanks with usually 13 gallons every week.. You will have to consume hundreds of gallons per week for you to see any savings (and who does that ? not the average consumer but a big corporation with millions of dollars and who will not be interested in saving a few thousand a month. For this scheme to be effective you would have to put tens of thousands of dollars in the pre-purchased gas. From what I understand you can get your money back if you cancel within a year. But it will take many many years for you to save money and if you take into account how much gas you consume per year, yearly membership, your thousands of dollars earnings rate over the years, and the speculation that gas prices will go over the roof within a year ( which is highly unlikely because the whole economy will sink and our society will became completely non functional). You not only NOT saving any money, you are actually paying more than if you purchased the gas regularly ,even with the increases. There is no benefit from a scheme like this, which is speculative, and YOU are contributing to faster increases in gas prices when you contribute your tens of thousands of dollars into a scheme like this. Therefore do not fall victim for the above false promise. This should be illegal and regulated because this is what actually drives the oil prices up the speculation.

Did you know...

Gas prices are fueled by global demand (no pun intended). The increase is everywhere in the world, not just the US. If it makes you feel better...the Brits are paying 120 pence per litre (or roughly $9 per US gallon!) This is why elsewhere in the world, people drive little 4-cylinder cars and ride on scooters. Time for us to think differently.

we have been sold out

all that we have been told over the years by our so called people that we have mistakenly elected was and is a lie made up to get us to put them in there so that they can fill their pockets with more of our money. I say this is going back to slavery days when the rich and wealthy are draining us dry. this so called civilized world in which we live is nothing more than a matrix we have been blinded from the truth pretty soon we will all be walking and living in tents

Prices MUST go down

This is ridiculous. We are getting royally screwed. When Bush came into office I think gas was about 1.49 per gallon. Why, exactly, are the prices so exorbitant? Besides driving, this affects heating oil costs. Many people will not be able to afford the cost of heating oil. PRICES MUST GO DOWN. This is evil.

Garbage

This is a bunch of garbage to get money for underclassed people that are already suffering and cant afford to pay out any extra money. Y should there be a membership fee. The gas alone is high enough. Just stupid Steve Verona just plain stupid you are't helping you are trying to get over.

I heard radio saying this is the next best thing.

I checked out their website.

Say, for example, it is legit website. You won't save much money.

Better you invest your money in high rate money market, CD or play stocks over time.

Another Scam

Look at the testimony on the website. People claimed to save $.10 to $.32 and WOW, they save a lot of money. Are these people stupid or what? Have they factor in the $30 membership yet? How much have they save so far include the first purchase? Also, How much prepay do you need to cough to save (including membership)? The next lock in could be higher and it won't be the same price as the original lock in.

Damn SCAM to me.
