Geography
La Porte is located at the opening of the Houston Ship Channel, slightly southeast of Houston.
Cultural Attractions
The city boasts the Battleship Texas and San Jacinto Monument and Battleground. The Battleship Texas was the last of the battleships that were used in the World Wars.
