Geography
The city is in the heart of Lehigh Valley.
Cultural Attractions
The city’s annual Musikfest attracts big-name acts for the 10-day showcase festival of musicians from all genres. The festival attracted more than a million guests last year. Visitors also flock to the city for its Christmas celebrations.
Recreation
Bethlehem is home to Saucon Valley and Center Valley Country Clubs, and there are plenty of venues for boating, fishing, and skiing in the area.
Historical
During the Revolutionary War, leaders like George Washington and Samuel Adams stayed in Bethlehem.
Economy
The city’s economy once revolved around Bethlehem Steel Corp., which was an important steel producer during WWII, and provided the steel used to build the Golden Gate Bridge. Bethlehem Steel went bankrupt in 2001.
