Geography
Louisville is in northern Kentucky, just across the Ohio River from Indiana
Cultural Attractions
There are several interesting museums in town, including the Muhammad Ali Center, which commemorates the career of the Louisville native.
Recreation
Louisville has thousands of acres of public parks, including some designed by landscape architect Frederick Law Olmstead. Of course, Kentucky is also known as horse country. The Kentucky Derby Museum at Churchill Downs in Louisville commemorates the history of horse racing.

Founded in 1778, Louisville is named for France's King Louis XVI.
