Edgewater, a coastal town in southern Florida, is warm throughout the year and receives ample rainfall.
Geography
Edgewater is northeast of Orlando on Florida’s east coast, along the Indian River.
Recreation
Nearby Canaveral National Seashore, on an East Coast barrier island, offers activities including camping, hiking, hunting, and boating. The park is home to 14 endangered species, including the West Indian manatee.
Historical
Until 1924, the city was named Hawk’s Park after founder John Milton Hawk.
