In the summer, Cinnabar Theater hosts a music festival, and the autumn brings Art in the Park and the Petaluma Poetry Walk.
Historical
The 1906 earthquake that destroyed much of the San Francisco area spared this town significant damage; consequently, Petaluma is known for the number of Victorian houses still standing in the historic downtown.
Economy
The town was once billed as the “World’s Egg Basket,” and plenty of dairy farming continues there today.
