Geography
The city is located in a valley of the Southern Californian coastal mountains, northeast of San Diego.
Cultural Attractions
Escondido is home to Queen Califia's Magical Circle, a sculpture garden created by Niki de Saint Phalle featuring nine large-scale sculptures.
