I must confess that it is real hard work the first six month. I am of the opinion to wait till you start attracting visitor to your site. Before advertising.

How to find a topic to blog on, What do you like most, think of a hobbie or subject matter that interest you most and start writing about it.

HOW do I start?

I just read the above article and enjoyed what I read, I like many others am looking for an at home job and I would like to know how to START a blog. What about getting spams and worms and the like, how do you keep them out? Where do you go to get this information and does it cost money? How do you know what topic to pick and to set it up? Is there some form or letter that needs to be filled out? Could someone seriously guide me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.

Thanks

Daily I blog only 2hrs

Daily I blog only for 2hrs as this depends on the work load each day, but I do get some bucks, I need to follow some twicks which has mentioned in the above article and speed up in updating my blog regularly.

Lets see how it goes in the way of life.

It really is a lot of work

As someone who has tried to make at least a semi-successful blog for the past year, I can say that I really underestimated the time it takes to succeed and I don't doubt that these full time bloggers put in 40 hours a week or much more. It's not easy, but I enjoy it and I plan to stick with it for the long haul.

Blogging is fun :)

I also recently started a blog about personal finance and frugal living. I'm not expecting a huge sum of money but a few dollar would still be pretty cool.

Blogging for fun turns to profit

I started my blog because I enjoy what I write about. I still struggle to come up with quality content that feeds the readers information. I am of the opinion that you must write good posts, share information, help others in their need, to grow your readership.

Don't get me wrong, if I can earn an income from it then I would enjoy that also. I haven't reached that plateau yet and do not know if I ever will but I will continue blogging.

How many bloggers are full time?

I wonder if someone has done a study about the number of hours dedicated by bloggers each day. Lazy Man mentioned he spends 14 hours a day on his blog. I would imagine Problogger and John Chow spend close to that as well. It would be interesting to know how many bloggers consider themselves full-time.
