Established by Creek Indians in 1828, Broken Arrow is a suburb of Tulsa.

Climate
Because of its proximity to the center of “tornado alley,” very hot, humid summers with severe storms are not unusual.
Cultural Attractions
The Broken Arrow Community Playhouse and the Broken Arrow Historical Museum are important venues as Oklahoma celebrates its centennial. The Safari’s Exotic Wildlife Sanctuary houses some 200 animals on about 12 acres.
Economy
Though a bedroom community for Tulsa, Broken Arrow officials aim to boost the city’s retail and dining attractions.
Historical
“Broken Arrow” comes from the Creek word “Thlikachka.”
Recreation
The Liberty Trail System was recently paved for jogging, walking, and biking; and golfers enjoy the Battle Creek course.
