The city is west of Baltimore, in central Maryland.
Historical
The Patapsco Female Institute, located in the city, was one of the most famous schools for young women during the 1800s. The school closed in 1890, but its ruins are now part of a historic park.
Recreation
Main Street is lined with specialty boutiques, antique stores, and restaurants. There are also ghost tours available to highlight "haunted" parts of the city.
