Historical
During the Civil War, Montgomery served as the first Confederate government office and still has the first White House of the Confederacy. Years later in 1955, Martin Luther King, Jr., joined Rosa Parks in the Montgomery Bus Boycott.

The Montgomery Biscuits, a minor-league affiliate of the Tampay Bay Devil Rays, provides a favorite outing for local baseball enthusiasts.
