Established in 1919 and family run since its inception, the Shroff Eye Hospital and LASIK Center is one of only three JCI-accredited vision hospitals in the world. (The other two are in Turkey and Spain.) Treatments include phacoemulsification cataract surgery, vitreoretinal surgery (for treating advanced diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, macular hole, and other retinal diseases), LASIK surgery, glaucoma surgery, squint surgery, keratoplasty and other corneal surgery, oculoplastic surgery, and additional cosmetic treatments. Shroff Hospital also runs seven superspecialty clinics, including the Diabetic Retinopathy Clinic, Macular Degeneration Clinic, Glaucoma Clinic, Uveitis Clinic, Cornea Clinic, LASIK Clinic, and Squint/Pediatric Ophthalmology Clinic.
