Washington, D.C. – Oct. 1, 2013 – Bill Holiber, President and Chief Executive Officer of U.S. News & World Report, announced today that Dan Wilmer will join the company in the newly created role of Vice President and General Manager of Health Care Products.
Wilmer and the Health Care Products team will work closely with the newly formed Health Care Analysis team to further expand the U.S. News consumer advice franchises in Hospitals, Health Insurance, Nursing Homes and Doctors.

Wilmer joins the company during a period of renewed growth and investment across U.S. News’ health, education, personal finance, and news platforms as well as its travel and car rankings and reviews products. U.S. News’ events franchise, which began with an annual STEM Solutions conference in 2012 will expand this November to include the Hospital of Tomorrow conference. In September, U.S. News’ web traffic hit an all-time high, with 2.6 million unique visitors generating 18.9 million page views in a single day.* U.S. News has seen continued growth across its websites – approximately 20 million unique visitors on average per month, up 50 percent over the last year. U.S. News Best Cars reaches 4 million in-market auto consumers monthly, while U.S. News Health reaches 3 million readers.
Wilmer brings significant experience in developing online products and content for consumers, which includes serving as a General Manager at Everyday Health Inc., where he oversaw the operations of a portfolio of highly popular diet and fitness sites and mobile apps.
