Almost 6 Million U.S. Cases of Swine Flu in First Few Months

Get the shot or hope you get sick

Today I was speaking with my suprovisor at work about the H1N1 and flu viruses in general. He stated, "I will never take a flu shot, because it makes you get sick". I told him that in a small way that is true but not in the way he is thinking. I told him that flu shots are made from eggs. Why eggs? Because an egg is the larger single celled organisum in existance. The egg allows the virus to grow but not get "strong". We then harvest the "weakened" virus and kill it. So you are injected with a dead virus if by chance a small part did survive, it's severely weakened. This is why if your allergic to eggs you should not take the flu shot. The flu shot will lower your immune system because your body thinks it's being invaded by harmful viruses. The white blood cells that remains after the "fight" will have antibodies which protect you from that strain of flu. Problem is, it takes awhile for your body to replish your old white blood cells. This is why you should not take the flu shot if your sick or have been already exposed to the flu. Also consider, for example, if you live in Florida and get the flu shot and travel to California for the holidays doesn't mean you'll be protected againist the strain of flu in another state. There are hundreds of strains of flu and only the "mostly likely" threat of the AREA will be given out to the public, this does not include the H1N1,which you take another shot for.

As I told him, the H1N1 is thought to have come from pigs, aka swine, but this has not been completely proven. It is thought to come from swine because of the protein markers are conistant with that of swine. What makes the H1N1 so dangerous is it's ability to cross the genetic barrier between animals, to humans, to anamials again and finally (POTENTIALLY) back to humans again. This is a major problem. Why? Ever hear of the SARS outbrake in China? Point proven. The H1N1 has been reported going from human back to animals. This was found in geese in Canada. If, for example, the virus goes from the geese back into the human populous, then is it likely the H1N1 will mutate into the 2nd generation. Why is this so bad? Our immune system is comprised of white blood cells which contains genetic material from our ancestors and all the viruses they came in contact with to give us immunity or defense againist certain viruses. If you are not exposed the the H1N1 1st generation through flu shot or exposure then you will have no immunity or defense for the 2nd generation which will be ALOT worse than the 1st generation. To make this point more clear have you ever seen Steven King's: The Stand? If not you should see it. I could talk about this all day but this text box only allows me to type 3,000 charaters, lol. But to make my point absolutely clear. When the H1N1 flu shot comes avaiable you have 3 choices: 1) take the flu shot, 2) get exposed (intentualy or unintentually) or 3) watch Stevn King's: The Stand for the other option.
