I don't believe Migraines may reduce breast cancer risk!
I know too many women that have suffered with migraines and did get breast cancer!

No! migraines lowers breast caner - BOLOGNA ! HOGWASH!
We do not think so. Our Mother suffered with migraines all her life - had breast cancer. Our friend had many migraines during her life - had breast cancer.

Par for the course
I believe the ignorance involved is sincere. Therefore it's kind of hard to say shame on the writers but I'd like to. Just understand they are newspeople and they always make this kind of mistake.
I have debilitating migraines requiring medication. Pretty sure it isn't related to my estrogen levels as I am a boy. There isn't anything good about migraines. They are just pure pain, weirdness, and pain; or your head just hurts and then the pain comes again. Perhaps migraine is just incidental to these unfortunate cancer patients. There is not much data here to understand anything.

No wonder scientists despise the media
I'm with Sarah and John above ... if you can't discern the difference between correlation and causation, intelligent people will shun your publication.

Migraines Lower Breast Cancer Risk
Maybe the drugs they give for migraines reduce stress and result in lower breast cancer risk.

Migraines and Lower Breast Cancer Risk
My mother and a maternal aunt had migraines, they were of the "Take Bufferin, Quit Sufferin" generation. I guess their breasts didn't realize that one agony was enough, so yes, they both had breast cancer.
A thinner magazine with more accurate news would be acceptable.

Very misleading title ("Migraines Lower Breast Cancer Risk")
The title of this article implies that the study tested a cause-effect relationship between migraines and breast cancer, but this is (clearly) not what was done. The study only found a CORRELATION between migraines and a reduced risk of breast cancer, not that migraines CAUSE a reduced risk of breast cancer. The cause of the reduced breast cancer risk is likely some underlying factor.
Shame on US News for using such a misleading title.

Article accurate, title wrong.
This article correctly explains that estrogen levels affect both migraine risk and breast cancer risk. However, your title is completely wrong in stating that migraines lower breast cancer risk.
