Campaign 2008
Mike Huckabee
After serving as governor of Arkansas for more than a decade, Mike Huckabee hit the campaign trail upon leaving office in January and regularly touts his conservative credentials. Huckabee is a former Baptist minister and is known for delivering one-line zingers such as, “Jesus was too smart to ever run for public office.” As governor, Huckabee became recognized for losing 110 pounds as part of his “Healthy Arkansas” initiative, which he pushed nationally. He now enjoys running marathons and also plays bass guitar for the rock band Capitol Offense.
