The students of Dartmouth College, in Hanover, N.H., not only love winter, they embrace it. Known as the oldest collegiate winter festival, the Winter Carnival celebrates winter, snow, and outdoor fun. Held annually at Dartmouth Skiway, the events include ski competitions, a human dogsled race, and a student snow sculpture.
