The Kathryn W. Davis Student Residence Village consists of three triple-story duplexes with ocean views. The primary heat source is a wood pellet boiler—the pellets are local and renewable—via in-floor heating. The buildings are fitted with composting toilets, and the waste feeds the surrounding landscape.
