Student identity for online courses is verified using centralized LDAP authentication based upon a successful confirmation of the student’s identity and the issue of an institutional account and login. Webster provides online students with web-based information resources which clearly define academic honesty and proactively highlight its significance. Webster deploys technology based tools such as Turnitin and McGraw-Hill’s Connect Accounting within online courses to enhance the academic integrity of coursework assignments. Training of online faculty reviews best practices and online exam strategies which focus on academic integrity risks and issues. Students generally complete an academic honesty oath at the beginning of an online exam. |
