Graduate Business Program Overview

Webster University was founded as a traditional brick-and-mortar school in the early 1900s in St. Louis, Mo., where the school's home campus is still based. In addition to taking classes virtually, online students at Webster can take classes at one of Webster's physical locations in more than 23 states and five countries. Webster University is a nonprofit institution that is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission, a regional accrediting body.

Nearly 10 graduate business degree programs can be earned entirely online through Webster, including an MBA and master's degrees in human resources management, information technology management and accounting. Students earning an MBA have the option to specialize in more than a dozen areas, including environmental management, finance, international business and decision support systems. Webster's business and management degree programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs, a recognized accrediting body.

Courses at Webster University follow a structured, week-by-week format. Course work generally includes readings, discussions, assignments, simulations and assessments. Some class work may require students to work together online. Courses are offered in nine-week terms, five times throughout the year. Webster University offers online students academic advising, peer tutoring, virtual library materials and an online writing center.

The application deadline for the online graduate business programs at Webster University, a private school, is rolling. At Webster University, all of the online classes are recorded and archived. Students should also note that the online graduate business programs at Webster University are not accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, the gold standard of business school accreditation.
