During orientation, Walden University students are highly encouraged to view and engage in an Academic Integrity tutorial that details the university’s expectations of academic integrity, with an emphasis on plagiarism prevention. Walden University uses the plagiarism prevention software Turnitin, to monitor student work for evidence of plagiarism. Students are required to submit their work to Turnitin in advance of course assignment deadlines. Supporting this effort, students are reminded to view the Academic Integrity tutorial in each course and are provided with additional written and visual reference guides to assist them in maintaining academic integrity.
