USA utilizes a variety of tools to ensure academic integrity for courses in USA Online. To combat plagiarism, many instructors require the use of Turnitin for document submissions. Two options are available for online proctoring of high-stakes assessments: Software Secure’s Remote Proctor and ProctorU. Remote Proctor is a hardware device designed to address cheating during online assessments by recording audio and 360 degree video of the test-takers environment. It also incorporates a biometric fingerprint scanner to accurately verify student’s identity. ProctorU is a web-based proctoring service that requires students to take exams in the presence of a live, online proctor that monitors the students environment via webcam. |
