We encourage online faculty to do regular testing throughout the semester as opposed to relying on one large test score. We encourage faculty to build tests with essay and short answer questions. In cases where multiple choice is used we encourage faculty to randomize answers and the order of questions. We use TurnItIn to try to curb plagiarism. In some instances professors require proctored exams. Faculty are encouraged to include in their course syllabi a statement about academic integrity that defines what cheating means and the course of action should cheating occur.
