All exams are issued as take-home exams; it is understood that students have access to texts, course materials, classmates, Internet, etc. during an exam. The Rowan University Academic Integrity Policy is provided to students and strongly enforced. Exams are all issued electronically in either multiple choice (MC) or open-ended format. MC exam questions are pulled at random from question banks and timed. Open ended exam responses may be processed by plagiarism prevention tools such as turnitin.com. Most grad level courses will opt to assess students via term paper or major project rather than a typical exam. Faculty are advised to depend upon subjectivity and individual critical thinking questions to ensure academic integrity.
