About the online bachelor's degree program (as submitted by school)
ODU has been a pioneer in distance learning since the mid-1980s. Historically, delivery was interactive television via satellite broadcast from main campus to distance sites. More recently, we expanded use of other technologies to reach more students. Our current network serves nearly 50 locations in Virginia, Arizona and Washington, as well as on Navy ships. This doesn’t count the many students taking online courses. ODU is accredited by the COC-Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
