Non-technological measures: promoting a more pedagogical approach. The gist behind the approach is to use multiple modalities of assessment throughout a course. In other words, use multiple assessment types: quizzes for reading motivation and comprehension, guided discussions to promote higher order thinking, assignments to assess individual thinking skills, reflection journals to promote authentic and learning relevant to the individual. Technological measures: SafeAssign plagiarism detection software, and built-in authentication controls to ensure specific measures to control access. |
