DBU authenticates the users before they can access their exams in Blackboard. DBU makes Turnitin plagiarism detection software available to the instructors. DBU makes the Respondus Lockdown Browser available to the instructors. DBU encourages the use of a portfolio approach to assessment to gage student work in online courses - instead of basing the majority of the grade on exams, the instructors are encouraged to use a combination of written work, group assignments, weekly interaction, and less frequent quizzes/exams to measure student performance.
