Turnitin is used to detect plagiarism in written papers. An assignment must contain less than 10% of unoriginal content. The Moodle (e-Cleary) system identifies each student's activity to the faculty. If deemed necessary, an instructor will elevate possible plagiarism occurrences to the department's Dean after first discussing the issue with the student. A faculty review committee will investigate and make any recommendations for suspension or expulsion to the Provost. The decision of the Provost is final.
