About the online bachelor's degree program (as submitted by school)

At Champlain College, adult students are our business; we recognize that learning occurs in and outside of the classroom, which is why we accept up to 90 credits toward your bachelor’s degree through transfer credits and our “test out” option. Our courses are small and highly interactive, and we actively encourage you to use what you are doing in your work life for projects, assignments and discussion postings.

Measures to instill academic integrity (as submitted by school)

Our philosophy is that a quality assessment requires students to apply, analyze, and evaluate material and to put it in a context that shows reflection and true understanding of the content. We believe that an objective exam doesn’t actually test a student’s ability to make sense of the material; it tests a student’s ability to take an objective exam. When students are asked to produce original work, they are forced to truly interact with the material in meaningful ways, and they are supported in arriving at that point. We also use turnitin.com as a way of ensuring their work is their own.
