Measures to instill academic integrity (as submitted by school)

Students have a unique logon that is assigned upon enrollment and all official College communications between staff, faculty and students must be sent through Berkeley email. Berkeley continually evaluates and considers new and emerging technology to minimize opportunities for successful identity theft or related fraud. The Academic Integrity policy is posted clearly on each syllabus and in the Student Handbook. Faculty are trained to observe differences in student behavior that might suggest identity theft and are strongly encouraged to change the work required in their course each quarter to reduce the risk of plagiarism. SafeAssign, a plagiarism checker tool available in each course, is used by faculty to check written assignments.
