There are plenty of challenges that come along with being an online student – mastering the learning management system, getting accustomed to discussion boards, and coordinating group work – just to name a few.
But by far one of the hardest parts of being an online student is time management. Juggling school assignments with work and family commitments can be a huge obstacle, and can leave some students wondering if they are cut out for virtual learning.
To help online students stay on top of their school work, U.S. News tracked down several current online learners and asked them to share their time management tips.
The students include Mandee Parker, who took an online statistics course at Graduate School USA; Justin Gill, who is pursuing an online Master of Science in nursing at Georgetown University; Sonya Raikar, who is pursuing an online Master of Public Health at George Washington University; and Patsy Deyo, who is getting her online Master of Science in nursing at George Washington University.
