I found many further and higher institutions offering free courseware. It is good of course, the bad thing is they do not grand you credit or certification, so you have nothing to put on CV. After long MONTHS! of research i found one further and higher education institution,that was granting certification upon successful assessment or exam from open courses. They do care about students are highly supportive staff and extremely active online community (im studying with them for my diploma now:P ) i found them by accident on one of free courses site, where they were posted as top partners and for small fee cant remember i think it was 20Euro that i paid for assessment they processed that final examination/assessment and after my successful completion awarded me certificate from their institution. I love them! their website is eden-institute.eu for some reason it is down, probably upgrading or something as i can access my online area :) so check them out,i cant find that open courseware site that is associated with them,but i can guarantee that if you will write the institute they will assist you, cause their staff are great!

I'm Zambian female, married with three young children.I would like to study in the field of mathematics. It has been difficult because of so many committements. The only way would be through on line distance programes but because of being in undeveloped nation, i cant be accepted by most of these universities despite having an associate degree in education specializing in mathematics. great post. i just heard about the MITopenwarecourse because it was linked in a reddit post and i immediately thought this was something i could invest in and learn a lot from. i've been applying to school and getting into programs i've chosen to follow through in, international schools, well known schools, local schools, and for a couple years now i'm still not in an institute for higher learning because i cannot afford it. i have siblings and money is very tight in my family. it's hard but i know one day i will make it so that i am in a university or college. i will work hard to make that happen. all my friends and peers pass me by and i've just become another statistic of someone like me from my neighbourhood. these open online studies will really help me keep plugged into the world of learning. i really appreciate it and the people behind this movement. thank you so much for posting this. i saw it linked by @brainpicker i think. thanks to her too.
