I am a 29 year old single mother of one, the six child out of seven, one deceased, My mother was not able to put me through college but I worked and enrolled myself into a local College and was able to obtain an AA Degree, Out of my mother seven children I am the first to complete a Degree. I know that I can and will make it far, my hope was to complete my Masters but was bless with a wonderful little girl who now such a blessing to me, I have no regrets having her, but I do regret not being able to finish up my degree because it would allow me to be able to make more money and intern be able afford to do more for my family and myself. I want to finish my degree but because of other responsibilities such as my mom, who is ill and not able to work, and my nephew and nieces who father recently died. I can’t afford to put myself through college and take care of other responsibilities at hands. Therefore I am writing this letter in hope that I would reach someone who is able to assist me with obtaining an online scholarship so I will be able to finally finish what I started.

Continuing education is essential for cerificate or license renewal. The computer has been the primary source for learning and further training. Furthermore, online distance learning has contrinuted to further professional knowledge for career changes. It is my belief that U, S, News and related references can be utilized to compare and contrast colleges or universities that match my current educational interests.

I am a 42 year old single mother of 2. My daughter is 14 , and my son is 20, and a college student. I have been fortunate enough to fine really good jobs with only a high school education, and a year of college. I was laid -off from my job at the Attorney Generals Office, making decent money a year ago, which means I have been searching for work for really over a year. It is so hard to find a decent job in my city, so many are laid-off from there jobs. I decided I needed to return to college so that I could catch up with all of these people with degrees. I am not going to return to school with my son and his silly friends, so I decided to start on-line classes at the University of Phoenix. I am unemployed so I really need help financially. I really do not want to have any loans to pay back, but I will do it in order to get my degree. I am looking so hard on-line for scholarships for parents returning to college on-line. PLEASE,PLEASE, SOMEONE HELP.

I'm a 27 single mother of two. I've been going to school on and off for the past 9 years. I'm a little nervous now that I'm enrolled to take online courses. I'm not sure how I will juggle between work, my kids, and school. I'm determined to finish my degree in social work, and now more so because of the domestic experiences I've gone through. Most of all, I want to be a good example to my girls. That they can live through anything and come out strong. I'm looking into any scholarships that would help me. Other than that, I'm nervously awaiting the outcome of my life.

This is great news! It's good to see how more and more options are opening up in the area of online education, particularly for parents who wish to pursue further education in order to meet their professional goals. Parents with full-time jobs are in dire need of the flexibility and accessibility that online education provides. Sites like http://www.art-schools-online.com/ provide online opportunities for individuals seeking a suitable online education program that will enable them to obtain a degree in their chosen industry, such as a degree in nursing, web development courses, or further graduate studies. Always be sure to verify an online school's accreditation with the state. It also helps to check with prospective employers to ensure that they accept the validity of your degree.

I have been a stay at home mom for the past 4 years. As much as I have wanted to pursue my MBA I was never able to juggle work, family, and my educational goals. That's when my husband suggested I look into online courses, at the time I wasn't very interested in this, after doing some research I seen that all the large universities had online programs.
I found this site to be easy to use to compare several different options for my MBA.

I plan on starting a program this fall and still being a engaged mother to my two kids!

While everyone understands why busy people would want to do online coursework, the research out there about for-profit propriety schools is pretty scary.
The most wise choice would be to attend a school (online, if you must) with a land-based facility, as well (and I mean a real school, not just corporate and marketing offices).
I work with a mom who tries to juggle a full-time job with seeing her daughter with attending online classes at one of those for-profit career universities. I just received an automated collection call on the department phone line, and the school didn't even have a real person to be sure they were not embarrassing someone at work!
I now view my coworker as...well...I looked up the school's student loan default rate, and I'm wondering if anyone is going to hire anyone from such a school (I attended a private school, all classroom based, and after the recession subsided and I tried to jump into the scary job market, it took me 2 months to find employment!).
Go to a serious, land-based school that offers online or blended programs, but steer clear from those proprietary career colleges. My coworker would be absolutely embarrassed if I said, "Hey, such and such university had an automated collector call up, and I took the call and know it's where you go to school, gee, do you owe on your loans?"
How tacky to not even have a real person to ensure that collection calls on past-due student accounts goes directly to the person, and not the rest of their work department!

That's just one article, but there are many more online about default rates. And it's as if these schools are totally targeting minorities, too, as perhaps many more minorities feel a need to work while attending courses online (to meet the expenses).
BUYER BEWARE.
Go to a reputable school.
I did, and I found employment within 2 months! In a lame economy! With benefits, too.
It was worth every penny.
Don't put money in the hands of educational scam artists. You will be sorry when your coworkers or room-mates have to pick up that lame (automated) collection call when you default on your student loans.
